Commonality Game

You say "either"... and so do I.

Process: Best played with groups seated at tables, delegates are invited to find commonality across the group. This could be anything from a sporting allegiance, to a penchant for needlepoint. Anything and everything. The moment the group finds something they all share they must rise to their feet - en masse - and declare their discovery.

Outcome: This fun routine never fails to add sparkle to a conference. As the groups find commonality, the room begins to resemble some great machine, with groups of delegates moving up and down like pistons. At the end of the exercise they will find themselves energised and connected. Maybe it's time to look at cross-function relationships a little differently - perhaps there are more similarities than differences.
