Skill-Set/Mind Set

It's not what you know, it's the way you apply it.

Process: A lively brainstorm session where delegates are invited to contribute their view of what might distinguish a peak performer. The host might assemble the suggestions so that the conference can observe the full list. Then together, the host and his audience will split the suggestions into two categories: Skill-sets and mindsets.

Outcome: Invariably the lists show strong bias towards attitudes - confidence, passion, creativity, self-motivation and so on - rather than technical abilities. How much of a world champions' winning ways are attributable to their technique (SKILL) versus their will to win (ATTRIBUTES).
