The Trust Bridge
Your life in their hands.
Process: A great team building exercise in which delegates are urged to put aside feelings of self and put their safety in the hands of their team mates. Four team members face four more. They all link arms to form a bridge at waist height. A further team member stands at a higher level and allows him/herself to fall backwards onto the bridge of arms. Once the first member is safely returned to their feet, they swap with one of the others. This process continues until each delegate has put himself or herself on the line.
Outcome: Many approach this with great scepticism. Many "teams" include solo-players - those more used to trusting themselves totally and other very rarely. Whether introducing team values or reinforcing them this is an experience the delegates will never forget.
